Advocate-Art’s idea for Heads Up started out as a bit of fun- a little mailer to tempt people with. However, in the months that followed it grew into an all-encompassing directory of our children’s book artists. I suppose we were having too much of a good time. The call to our artists was simple; ‘Produce an unpublished character that can carry a narrative and is appealing to children’ What we have at the end is  100 of the world’s most professional children’s illustrators that will at the very least brings a smile, and at best is a useful commissioning tool.
